Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilledSenior Software Engineerwith strong expertise inbackend developmentto design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate has deep experience withJava,Spring Boot,AWS cloud services,containerization technologies, and bothrelationalandNoSQL databases.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect backend systems, develop cloud-based applications, and ensure reliable, scalable production services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced backend engineer who enjoys building robust distributed systems and solving complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications usingJavaandSpring Boot
- Build and enhanceRESTful APIsand microservices-based architectures
- Develop secure, reliable, and high-performing systems for cloud-native environments
- Build and support applications deployed onAWS
- Work withcontainerizationtechnologies such asDockerand orchestration platforms such asKubernetes
- Design and optimize data models usingrelational databasesandNoSQL databases
- Ensure application scalability, performance, maintainability, and reliability
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis
- Apply best practices insecurity,performance optimization, and software engineering
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards, code reviews, and technical design discussions
- Participate in architecture planning and technical decision-making
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree inComputer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ yearsof professional software development experience, with significant focus on backend engineering
- Strong hands-on experience withJavaandSpring Boot
- Experience designing and developingmicroservicesandREST APIs
- Strong experience withAWSservices such as:
- EC2
- ECS and/or EKS
- Lambda
- RDS
- S3
- Experience withDockerand container orchestration platforms such asKubernetes
- Experience withrelational databasessuch asPostgreSQL,MySQL, orOracle
- Experience withNoSQL databasessuch asMongoDB,DynamoDB, orCassandra
- Proficiency withGitand modern development workflows
- Strong understanding ofsoftware design principles,object-oriented programming, anddistributed systems
- Experience with testing frameworks and practices, including unit, integration, and API testing
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with messaging and streaming technologies such asKafka,RabbitMQ, orSQS/SNS
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Knowledge ofsecurity best practicesfor cloud and application development
- Experience working inAgile/Scrumenvironments
- Exposure toserverless architectures
- Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineering teams
