Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented software engineer to join our Test R&D Software Solution team within the Global Technology R&D organization. You will develop automation and robotics solutions and oversee software applications in a multidisciplinary, multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze industrial processes to automate them using standard technology components aligned with Industry 4.0 goals
- Develop prototypes and software solutions internally or with external suppliers to enhance automation capabilities
- Test software solutions using simulators and on-site environments to ensure functionality and reliability
- Conduct technical and economic benchmarks to compare and select optimal software solutions
- Build and coordinate software development projects by evaluating costs, benefits, risks, and issues to ensure successful delivery
- Report project status and progress to executive management to support informed decision-making
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Master's degree in computer engineering, electronic engineering, or computer science
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively in an international environment
- At least five years of experience in industrial automation, preferably within the semiconductor sector
- Deep knowledge of SEMI standards for semiconductor equipment automation, including SEMI E30, SEMI E183, and SEMI E142
- Minimum two years of experience integrating equipment supporting SEMI standards
- Basic knowledge of material transportation standards such as SEMI E82 and SEMI E88
- Basic understanding of semiconductor test data formats including STDFs, BIDF, and wafer maps
- Proficient in C# and C++ programming languages with strong object-oriented programming foundations
- Familiarity with Java, Python, databases, SQL, and SQLite for software development and data management
- Experience using Git and version control systems to manage software codebases
- Knowledge of XML and XSD formats for data structuring and validation
