Senior Software Development Engineer, Frontend

• You will be part of Cisco Network Automation team, providing a modern, AI-enabled platform for advanced automation
• You will work on Crosswork Network Controller, a multi-vendor IP domain controller in the architecture
• Cisco s Network Controller combines intent-based network automation to deliver critical capabilities for IP service orchestration and fulfilment, network optimization, service path computation, device deployment and management, and fault remediation
• You will participate in the entire product life cycle, including requirement analysis, architecture design, coding, to deliver impactful solutions
• You will lead design discussions with other architects and engineers
• You will present architecture designs and solutions to multiple teams across organizations, gathering feedback that will help us drive consensus and gain alignment
• We need someone not afraid to be creative, and use innovative programming languages, technologies, and tools to drive ground-breaking new products

Responsibilities:

• Create and design scalable, secure solutions that meet high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with UX Designers, backend developers, product managers and cross-functional Engineering teams to deliver impactful production experience.
• Plan, design, and execute high-quality feature work, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and software quality.
• Connect front-end interfaces with back-end systems using RESTful APIs.
• Implement responsive Design by optimizing web pages for usability and performance
• Lead, mentor and influence other engineering team members, serving as a subject matter expert

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience with Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Node.js, Angular or Reactor or Vue with experience developing front-end solutions
• Knowledge of UI/UX design concepts, visual elements, and responsive design best practices.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems for code management.
• Familiarity with Figma, or similar design tools to interpret visual designs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong background and experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, microservice architecture
• Knowledge of Identity Management, Authentication/Authorization (OAuth2), and OpenID Connect is a plus.
• Experience with front-end unit testing framework like Karma, Jasmine, Jest and end-to-end automation framework like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
• Background in network security, protocols and policies.
• Secure development nuances token management, authentication, RBAC, etc
• Demonstrate strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Familiarity utilizing AI in Front-end development to streamline development processes and enhance user experiences.
