Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead with strong expertise in Esri ArcGIS and Python or Java development to design, develop, and maintain enterprise geospatial applications and services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Esri SDKs/APIs, spatial databases, and backend application development to build scalable GIS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise GIS applications and geospatial services.
- Develop backend services and REST APIs for processing and serving geospatial data.
- Build and optimize geospatial data processing pipelines.
- Develop applications using Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and Esri SDKs/APIs.
- Work with vector, raster, and elevation datasets for spatial analysis and visualization.
- Design and manage geospatial databases using PostgreSQL/PostGIS and Spatial SQL.
- Integrate GIS capabilities into web and mobile applications.
- Implement spatial data models, map services, and geospatial workflows.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of GIS applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver geospatial solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize existing GIS applications.
Mandatory Skills
- 5-10+ years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
- Hands-on experience in Python or Java development.
- Experience with Esri SDKs and ArcGIS REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data models, and geospatial application development.
- Experience working with vector, raster, and elevation datasets.
- Knowledge of map projections, Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS), and geospatial standards.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and Spatial SQL.
- Experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
