Senior Software Engineer (Node, Vue & Outsystems)

Job Description

We're looking for a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering enterprise engineering products, including meaningful government projects. You'll take ownership of complex software components end-to-end, from feature-level architecture and design through to build, test, and deployment, while mentoring team members and contributing technical expertise across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, integrate, test, and maintain complex software components.

2. Build prototypes and design system architectures to demonstrate technology opportunities.

3. Adopt design thinking and customer-oriented approach such as agile software development practices to manage and deliver quality solutions.

4. Harness emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to deliver business value and enhance service experience.

5. Work with other UX designers, developers and engineers to deliver enterprise engineering products in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

6. Deliver technical consultancy and expertise in the systems development process, contributing to defining technical specifications, configuring and testing solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

Must-haves:

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in web/application development, with demonstrated readiness for a senior role

• Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields or relevant experience.

• Self-driven, independent, with a keen interest in picking up new technologies

• Experience in modern web & application technologies or stack - Node.js, Vue.js

• Solid experience working with Agile software development, DevOps and cloud technologies.

• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and writing clean, efficient, maintainable code

• Experience with REST APIs, database structures/SQL, and development tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to have:

• Experience with OutSystems (not required, open to candidates who are keen to pick it up)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

• Prior experience working in large software teams
