Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated SeniorSoftware Quality Engineer to join our team in Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end quality control process, including the preparation of test plans, designing and executing test cases, and leading both manual and automated testing efforts. You will play a critical role in ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery by collaborating closely with developers and product managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review requirements and technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, and black-box testing to identify, record, and track software bugs thoroughly.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools, specifically focusing on the Selenium Suite (IDE, RC, Web Driver, and Grid).
- Monitor debugging process results, track quality metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts and investigate the causes of non-conforming software.
- Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements and stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies.
- Utilize tools like Microsoft Excel to prepare script execution reports and communicate testing status to peers and upper management.
Qualifications & Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related Information Technology field. A master's degree or ISTQB certification is considered a significant plus.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a software testing environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Customs or Supply Chain domains.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (SDLC) and processes.
- Expertise in Java Programming (OOP concepts, variables, flow control).
- Proficiency in Selenium automation frameworks and element locators.
- Familiarity with SQL and scripting.
- Knowledge of E2E frameworks like Protractor or BDD tools like Cucumber.
- Fluent in both English and Arabic.
