Senior Software Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements.

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.

Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.

Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to resolve issues.

Validate bug fixes and perform re-testing activities.

Prepare testing reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.

Participate in requirements reviews and provide feedback from a quality perspective.

Ensure software releases meet quality standards before deployment.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing methodologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in writing test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Familiarity with web, mobile, and API testing concepts.
• Knowledge of database testing and SQL queries is an advantage.
• ISTQB certification is a must.
