Job Purpose
The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and positioning complex, scalable, and commercially viable cloud solutions for enterprise customers. The role leads technical solutioning across high-value and strategic opportunities, ensuring alignment between business requirements, technical architecture, and commercial objectives.
The Senior Solutions Architect acts as a senior technical advisor within deal cycles and collaborates closely with Sales, Delivery, and internal stakeholders to ensure solution excellence and successful customer outcomes.
Job Description
Solution Design & Architecture
- Lead end-to-end solution design for complex and strategic customer engagements.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions and workshops to understand business, technical, and operational requirements.
- Translate customer challenges into secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
- Develop high-quality technical proposals, solution designs, architecture diagrams, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure solutions align with internal architecture standards and governance frameworks.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and integration challenges early in the opportunity lifecycle.
Pre-Sales & Deal Support
- Partner closely with Sales to support qualification, solution positioning, and opportunity shaping.
- Lead technical discussions, presentations, and demonstrations with customers.
- Provide sizing, costing input, and technical validation to ensure commercial viability.
- Support negotiation discussions from a technical standpoint when required.
- Contribute to RFP/RFI responses and large bid submissions.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from pre-sales to implementation.
- Collaborate with Product, Alliances, and technical teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment.
- Act as a senior escalation point for technical complexities within engagements.
- Support knowledge sharing and best practice alignment across the Solutions Architecture team.
Continuous Improvement & Market Awareness
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, market trends, and competitive positioning.
- Contribute to reusable solution frameworks, templates, and technical collateral.
- Provide feedback to leadership on recurring customer needs and solution gaps.
Compliance
- Comply with the company's Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO 27001 requirements, and actively participate in regular training and audits to ensure continuous alignment with the standard

Job Specification
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
- MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
Professional Certifications
- Microsoft, AWS, or Google Cloud certifications
Skills and Knowledge
- 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud engineering, or related technical roles
- Experience supporting enterprise or complex deal cycles
- Proven track record of designing and presenting end-to-end cloud solutions
- Strong expertise in cloud architecture principles (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid, multi-cloud)
- Experience with cloud migration and modernization strategies
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, security, and integration models
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs
- Commercial awareness including solution sizing and cost considerations
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
- Understanding of governance, compliance, and security frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
