Position Summary

The Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership throughout the sales lifecycle, from solution design and customer engagement to implementation support and technical advisory. Working closely with the Sales, Engineering, and Project teams, the role develops tailored technology solutions that address customer business needs while ensuring technical feasibility, commercial viability, and successful project delivery.

This position requires strong technical expertise in enterprise IT and data center technologies, excellent customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to identify customer requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and solution presentations with customers.
• Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, cloud, and data center technologies.
• Prepare solution architecture, technical proposals, bill of materials (BOM), bill of quantities (BOQ), and scope of work documentation.
• Work with vendors to obtain quotations, validate designs, and ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
• Support RFP, RFQ, and tender responses, including technical compliance documentation.
• Conduct product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical evaluations where required.
• Provide technical guidance during contract negotiations and customer discussions.
• Collaborate with project managers and delivery engineers to ensure smooth project handover and successful implementation.
• Support implementation activities for complex projects when technical expertise is required.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, technology partners, and vendors.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend new solutions that strengthen ByteBridge's service portfolio.
• Mentor junior solutions engineers and share technical knowledge across the engineering team.
• Participate in technical training, certification programs, and continuous professional development.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in developing solution standards and best practices.
• Support regional engineering initiatives across APAC.
• Contribute technical content for marketing events, webinars, and customer seminars.
• Participate in customer visits and business travel when required.
• Support strategic initiatives and new service offerings introduced by the company.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and solution architecture.
• Experience with servers, storage, virtualization, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure, power, cooling, structured cabling, and physical infrastructure is an advantage.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and solution proposals.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical and business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure consulting.
• Proven experience designing enterprise IT and data center solutions.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, solution architectures, and tender submissions.
• Professional certifications such as VMware VCP, Cisco CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Azure, AWS, HPE, Dell Technologies, Nutanix, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience working with multinational customers and regional projects is an advantage.
