JOB PURPOSE:
To provide technical expertise and support to the AIQ Asset Management team. Provide expertise and ensure extraction of maximum value for ADNOC from the products developed by AIQ. Support assets in deploying AIQ solutions. Develop and implement process frameworks for identification, scoping, development and deployment of AIQ solutions across ADNOC Upstream. Prioritize opportunities and expenditure to ensure maximum rate of return based on strategic analyses and financial metrics.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Lead the initiation of new innovative AI solutions to be developed by AIQ for ADNOC challenges across the upstream value chain.
- Assist in the deployment of AIQ solutions across the Upstream Group Companies.
- Actively work with Group company representatives and AIQ to identify bottlenecks and challenges with the deployment of existing and new solutions and monitor progress of the respective solutions.
- Assist in stakeholder alignment, budget preparation and contract negotiations with AIQ where necessary.
- Participate in the development of IP generation for new AI solutions being developed.
- Participate in commercialisation of developed technology IP from the resulting emerging technology projects.
- Advise on and participate in the building and ranking of potential new projects in the AI solutions portfolio factoring any potential socio-economic parameters.
- Coordinate, QC and contribute to regular management reports such as the weekly highlights, weekly action points, etc.
- Contributing and Supporting: Evaluate, mature and support the execution of the technical assessment and potential studies aimed at accelerating the delivery of new emerging AI solutions.
- Contribute, coordinate / lead the early opportunity assessment within and across technical disciplines to build internal value cases for pilot investment.
- Act as a technical team member in a collaborative manner to maximise value and build a portfolio of
new AIQ solutions.
- Support and participate in compiling technical and business cases for investments in close coordination with OPCO technology teams and engineers.
- Provides specialized technical contribution specifically within the identified area of expertise and project economics impact.
- Perform, manage or advise on studies required in assessing the potential for the different opportunities within the portfolio.
- Project quality control/peer review of projects in the technology portfolio where needed.
- Support the deployment of successful pilot projects with support of the technology solutions team.

- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop and/or recommend knowledge transfer opportunities for the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Projectu2019s budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Function/Division/Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards. Devise or recommend new policies or guidelines to establish efficiencies and to be on par with international standards for Geothermal Projects.
Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/Division/Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the Project.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply and ensure appropriate measures are taken for the Project in line with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
- Provide input for International HSE Policies applied to Geothermal projects.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Function/Division/Department/Section MIS and progress reports when requested to the Project Manager and/or Team Leader.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
- Daily with staff within the Division, Function and Directorate regarding project execution.
- Frequent contacts with staff from Group Companies, new JVs and International Shareholders on joint studies or projects carried out by the OPCOs.
External
- Frequent contacts with consultants and contractors on projects carried out for ADNOC and with vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in AI and/or Petroleum/Reservoir/Production /Geoscience related degree. Masteru2019s degree is preferred.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Have 10+ years of professional experience working in the energy industry.
- 5+ years in the AI solution development, use and implementation for the energy industry.
- Asset management experience is a preferred.
- Diverse experience in field development, production optimization, risk/uncertainty analysis / mitigation strategies.
- Possesses excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency but also a strong team player who can work closely and productively with other disciplines.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
