Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Specialist to join our M&A team, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. This role is central to identifying, evaluating, and executing transactions that drive long-term shareholder value and support the company's strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will have strong financial, strategic, and execution skills, along with experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Origination
  • Support senior leadership in developing and refining inorganic growth strategy.
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition and partnership opportunities aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Conduct market, competitive, and strategic fit assessments.
  • Transaction Execution
  • Manage day-to-day execution of M&A processes including valuation, due diligence, and integration planning.
  • Build financial models (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comps, synergy cases).
  • Draft internal investment memoranda, board presentations, and transaction documentation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence with legal, finance, tax, operations, and business unit teams.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with business units to align transaction rationale with operational priorities.
  • Partner with external advisors (investment banks, consultants, legal counsel) to support execution.
  • Prepare senior leadership and board-level materials to support decision making.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead in financial modeling, valuation, and process management.
  • Provide mentorship, feedback, and career development support to junior team members.
  • Represent Corporate Development in executive forums and contribute to business unit strategy sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science or related field; MBA, ACA, CFA or equivalent a plus.
  • 37 years, ideally in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with experience preparing materials for senior executives and boards.
  • Proven ability to execute deals from origination to closing.
