Senior Specialist, Gas Master Planning

JOB PURPOSE:

• Development of ADNOC Gas Master Plan (GMP) in a way that maximizes value, profitability and energy supply sustainability in normal and contingency situations and ensure incorporation of Master Plan outcomes in Gas OPCOs Business Plans.

• Development of optimal business strategies for natural gas and its products and advising ADNOC senior management accordingly.

• Development of Downstream Gas and Energy Business Opportunities.

Job Specific:

Gas Strategy:

u00B7 Consolidate and generate a long-term supply potential of gas, ethane, LPG, Naphtha, condensate and Sulphur.

u00B7 Support ADNOCu2019s contribution to Energy Authority activities in addition to other government initiatives, studies, workshops and meetings.

u00B7 Plan and develop optimal alternative economic and sustainable energy supplies within ADNOC/Abu Dhabi.

u00B7 Consolidate inputs required to communicate ADNOC updated gas plans to government.

Gas Master Planning:

u00B7 Support management in all activities required to formulate and implement ADNOC gas strategic planning activities, execute management assignments and present relevant work within the context of GMP
development.

u00B7 Forecast short and long-term gas supply and demand, with impact on gas injection, LNG exports/imports and
economic value.

u00B7 Plan, consolidate, revise and analysis of all data feeding into / resulting from the Long-term Gas Planning
Process.

u00B7 Report actual production vs. plan over regular intervals and recommend enhancement to planning
assumptions.

Gas Production Planning:

u00B7 Contribute on maximizing value, profitability, efficiency and sustainability of ADNOC gas processing productsand assets.

u00B7 Partner with Upstream and Gas Group Companies and consolidate the gas production plan and verify withUpstream whether it is achievable from subsurface and surface point of views.

u00B7 Contribute in assessing engineering and economic feasibility studies related to future capacity expansionplans.

u00B7 Consolidate necessary inputs for timely and accurate reporting of gas production forecasts and plans andpresentation of the same.

u00B7 Contribute to preparation of automating consolidating, updating and standardizing a gas production data basebased on Group Companies regular data feed.

Gas Business Contingency Planning:

u00B7 Analysing data, designing solutions and assist in preparing contingency plans to enhance security of gassupply and business continuity as technically and economically feasible.

u00B7 Preparing contingency scenarios for gas backup Sustainability.

u00B7 Promote energy sector reform, support sustainable gas strategies and advocate the implementation of energymanagement systems and demand side management systems within ADNOC group and the whole energy sector.

Generic Supervision:

u00B7 Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

u00B7 Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job anddeliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets:

u00B7 Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of theapproved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.

u00B7 Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

u00B7 Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order tosupport execution of the Sectionu2019s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.

u00B7 Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

u00B7 Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.

u00B7 Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:

u00B7 Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports:

u00B7 Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIP:

Internal:

u00B7 Regular work-related contact with Director, SVP, VP and team members, as well as with other members of the Downstream Directorate and other ADNOC Directorates on all matters relating to gas management.

u00B7 Regular work-related contact with the senior management in the Gas Group Companies for all matters relating to gas management.

External:

u00B7 Regular work-related contact with Director, SVP, VP and team members, as well as with other members of the Downstream Directorate and other ADNOC Directorates on all matters relating to gas management.

u00B7 Regular work-related contact with the senior management in the Gas Group Companies for all matters relating to gas management.

u00B7 Regular interaction, as delegated by Vice President, with energy supplying consuming and regulating entities within Abu Dhabi including, but not limited to the following:

u00B7 Suppliers: Dolphin Energy Ltd. (DEL) and Emirates Nuclear Energy (ENEC).

u00B7 Consumers: Emirates Water & Electricity Company (EWEC), General Holding Corporation (Senaat), National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed), Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC), Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZoneCorp), Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA), Dubai Supply Authority (DUSUP) and all future energy suppliers and consumers within Abu Dhabi.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification:

u00B7 Bacheloru2019s Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or Economics with preferably a masteru2019s degree in Engineering/Management.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:

u00B7 10 years of relevant professional experience in an oil and gas related forecasting activities.
