Job Description

Job Title: Senior Specialist, Procurement Operations

Core Accountabilities

  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle from contract award through execution, amendments, renewals, and close-out.
  • Draft, review, and administer procurement contracts, framework agreements, amendments and all of the contract types in line with approved templates and policies.
  • Ensure contractual terms align with procurement strategies, commercial objectives, and risk management requirements.
  • If Required, Monitor contract compliance, deliverables, milestones, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain accurate and complete contract records within the contract management system.
  • If Required, support dispute resolution, claims management, and contract interpretation.
  • Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance requirements.
  • Work closely with Buyers, legal team , end users, suppliers and different stakeholders to get the contract done.
  • Regularly review, update, and enhance contract templates to reflect changes in legislation, organizational policies, risk appetite, and market best practices.

Experience

  • 6-8 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or supply chain operations,within the UAE or GCC region.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting procurement contracts in a government, semi-government, or large corporate environment in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of procurement policies, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Experience in maintaining and enhancing contract templates and standard terms and conditions.
  • Experience working with ERP and contract management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Experience handling high-value or complex contracts is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications are highly desirable, such as:
  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
  • WorldCC (Contract & Commercial Management)
  • CPSM, CPP, or equivalent

Key Skills

  • Strong contract drafting, review, and template enhancement skills.
  • Sound understanding of procurement and contract management practices in the UAE market.
  • Ability to interpret contractual clauses and assess commercial and legal risk.
  • Strong attention to detail and document control skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
  • Analytical, reporting, and risk assessment skills.
