Employment Type: 12-month fixed-term / Full‑time

Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Specialist / Senior Business Process Analyst to support payroll‑related solutions through functional systems analysis, implementation support, and data‑driven insights.

This role is suited to experienced professionals with strong enterprise systems and analytical capability. Prior payroll, finance, or accounting experience will be an advantage. Strong Systems thinking and analytical capability are the key success factors.

This role supports global operations and may require some flexibility in working hours.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Support payroll system implementations, including third‑party providers (e.g. ADP), across discovery, configuration, testing, and migration phases.
  • Perform impact analysis for payroll-related system and process changes, including entity moves, configuration updates, and integrations.
  • Validate payroll system behavior and outputs across HR, payroll, and downstream finance systems to ensure alignment with defined functional requirements.
  • Apply and continuously build payroll domain knowledge (gross-to-net, deductions, accruals, terminations) to support accurate system design and validation.
  • Support testing, UAT, parallel payroll runs, and payroll migrations by analyzing results, identifying variances, determining root causes, and supporting remediation.
  • Use advanced Excel and analytical tools to perform data analysis, reconciliations, and variance investigations, translating findings into business-friendly insights.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes through data‑driven analysis and appropriate use of digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll Operations, IT, Finance, and external vendors to support delivery and issue resolution, escalating risks and dependencies to the Lead Analyst as appropriate.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise platforms (e.g. Workday, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Costpoint, SAP, or ADP Celergo) in a functional systems or implementation support role.
  • 5+ years experience in functional systems analysis, enterprise system implementations, or transformation initiatives within complex environments.
  • Experience supporting ERP system delivery, including UAT, parallel runs, data migrations, and integration testing.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear system logic and functional designs.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large‑data analysis, reconciliations, variance analysis, and root‑cause investigation.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain system behavior and analytical findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Exposure to payroll, HCM, finance, or accounting operations, supporting understanding of end‑to‑end processes and downstream impacts.
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, and/or Python or similar scripting tools, to support data analysis, reconciliation, or light automation.
  • Exposure to digital and automation platforms (e.g. Microsoft Power Platform, Nintex, UiPath) to support workflow automation and process optimization.
  • Strong learning mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively across business, technology, and delivery teams.

Education Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline is required.
  • A master's degree and/or relevant professional certifications are considered an added advantage.
