Job brief :

A professional Senior Database Administrator (DBA) will keep the database up & running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Responsibilities:

Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user'sspecialized role.

Design and implement a database in accordance to end users information needs andviews.

Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in the appropriate formatand in a timely manner.

Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.

Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast queryresponses.

Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.

Skilled in writing and optimizing SQL & MySQL queries, handling developerrequests, and improving performance and efficiency.

Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.

Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.

Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches andversions when required.

Collaborate with development, IT, and DevOps teams to enhance data solutions.

Requirements and skills:

3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in a 24/7 environment.

Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications

Familiarity with managing databases on both Windows and Linux systems.

Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, MySQL and SQL

Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding

Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.

Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of cloud database services and architectures, with familiarity in managing databases in cloud environments.

BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
