Khatib & Alami is looking for an experienced Senior Stakeholder Engineer with a strong design engineering background in major highways and civil infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a candidate who has worked within an international engineering consultancy and has hands-on experience coordinating stakeholder requirements throughout the design lifecycle.
The successful candidate will act as the key interface between the design team, clients, government authorities, and utility agencies, ensuring that all stakeholder requirements are incorporated into the project design while maintaining compliance with project schedules and authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder management activities for major highways and infrastructure design projects.
- Coordinate with Dubai government authorities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies to obtain design approvals, NOCs, and technical clearances.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure stakeholder comments and authority requirements are fully integrated into the design.
- Support the planning, review, and delivery of highway and infrastructure design packages in accordance with client and authority standards.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and design engineers to resolve technical and stakeholder-related issues.
- Track stakeholder actions, approvals, and project commitments to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, design presentations, meeting minutes, and authority submission documents.
- Attend technical meetings with clients, authorities, and utility agencies, representing the design team professionally.
- Identify project risks related to stakeholder requirements and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international engineering standards, and project quality requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of overall experience in civil infrastructure engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience working on the design of major highways and infrastructure projects.
- Strong design engineering background with experience in highway geometry, road infrastructure, utilities coordination, or multidisciplinary infrastructure design.
- Previous experience with an international engineering consultancy is mandatory.
- Proven experience coordinating with Dubai authorities such as RTA, DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Etisalat, du, Nakheel, Emaar, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure design processes, authority approval procedures, and design coordination.
- Excellent technical coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Strong report writing, presentation, and client management abilities.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, roads, highways, bridges, or urban development projects within the UAE is highly preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience delivering RTA, Dubai Municipality, or other major UAE infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of UAE authority approval procedures and utility coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while supporting fast-paced design project delivery.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design environments on complex infrastructure developments.
