Role Description
Senior Steel Structural Design Engineer with strong technical knowledge and practical skills to support the design, analysis, and detailing of structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be able to perform structural calculations, develop detailed drawings, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide technical proposals for drywall, ceilings, cladding, faades, and roof assemblies
- Perform structural analysis and design of building elements such as beams, columns, slabs, and foundations
- Conduct load calculations including dead, live, and wind loads to ensure compliance with design codes
- Prepare, review, and interpret structural drawings and shop drawings
- Ensure structural designs meet project specifications, standards, and safety requirements
- Review and apply appropriate connection details for steel and concrete structures (bolts, welds, brackets)
- Support the preparation of design documentation, technical reports, and calculations
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and project teams to ensure coordinated solutions
- Assist in value engineering and optimization of structural systems
- Use structural analysis software for modeling, load assessment, and design validation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 7-9 years of experience preferably in Building materials or Construction field.
- Familiarity with cold-formed structural design principles (AISI / Eurocode 3 / relevant codes).
- Experience with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, Staad Pro, ETABS, or SAFE.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings accurately.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or similar software for drafting and modeling.
