4+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and storage architecture
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Storage SME to design, manage, and optimize enterprise storage environments. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert for SAN/NAS technologies, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and data protection across the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise SAN and NAS storage solutions.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for storage platforms and architecture.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and storage optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents (L2/L3 support).
- Manage storage provisioning, zoning, masking, and LUN management.
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Work closely with backup, virtualization, cloud, and infrastructure teams.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
- Support audits, compliance, and security requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with SAN/NAS technologies.
- Experience with enterprise storage vendors such as:
- Dell EMC (Unity, PowerMax, PowerStore, Isilon)
- NetApp (ONTAP)
- HPE (3PAR, Primera)
- IBM / Pure Storage (any relevant platforms)
- Solid understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB.
- Experience with storage replication, snapshots, and DR solutions.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with storage integration with backup solutions.
- Understanding of performance metrics (IOPS, latency, throughput).
