Job Summary:

To manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials and supplies. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper storage conditions, and supporting the efficient flow of materials to meet company operations.

Job Description:

  • Receive and inspect incoming materials and supplies for quality and accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Record and maintain accurate inventory records, including receipts, issues, and stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to the Stores Manager.
  • Organize and arrange materials and supplies in the warehouse for easy access and efficient storage.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage conditions to prevent damage or deterioration of materials.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory audits as required.
  • Issue materials and supplies to internal customers based on approved requests and project needs.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of materials issued or returned.
  • Safely handle and transport materials using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions and store activities.
  • Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any issues encountered.
  • Assist in generating reports for inventory control and procurement planning.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines for handling and storing materials.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Stores Manager and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all materials and supplies are stored in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to facilitate timely receipt and distribution of materials.
  • Communicate with internal departments to address material requests, issues, and concerns.
  • Provide support to the Stores Manager and other team members as needed.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and organization of store equipment and tools.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Stores Manager.
  • Provide excellent service to internal customers, ensuring prompt and accurate fulfillment of material requests.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to material supply or store operations.

Required Criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in relevant field.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and systems.
