Role Description:
The role requires strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, BIM workflows, multidisciplinary coordination, and design standards. The candidate should have experience working on complex high-rise residential, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed Structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
- Produce accurate structural design drawings, construction documents, and BIM deliverables.
- Support the structural design team in developing efficient and coordinated structural solutions.
- Prepare and coordinate structural models for foundations, concrete structures, steel structures, and other structural systems.
- Ensure BIM models comply with project requirements, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), standards, and company procedures.
- Coordinate structural models with Architectural, MEP, Interior Design, Landscape, and other disciplines.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve clashes and coordination issues using Navisworks and other coordination tools.
- Participate in multidisciplinary design coordination meetings and provide technical BIM support.
- Review and validate structural models and drawings prepared by junior engineers and BIM Modelers.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of structural BIM deliverables.
- Support the development and implementation of BIM standards, templates, families, and workflows.
- Extract drawings, schedules, quantities, and other project information from BIM models.
- Coordinate model updates and revisions throughout different design stages.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Structural BIM Engineers and Modelers.
- Collaborate closely with Structural Engineers and Design Leads to ensure that BIM models accurately reflect the approved structural design.
- Support the continuous improvement of BIM processes and digital delivery within the design team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Structural Engineering and BIM.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience using BIM software for structural projects.
- Previous experience working with engineering or architectural design consultancies is mandatory.
- Strong structural design background with experience in reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Experience in high-rise residential, hospitality, commercial, or mixed-use projects is highly preferred.
- Experience working through multiple project stages, including Concept, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, and Construction Documentation.
