Senior Structural Design Engineer

ATI is looking for a full-time SENIOR STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER (Sharjah Municipality Unlimited License holder) to join its Sharjah Office.

The Role

As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will assume responsibility for performing structural design, analysis and calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience. You should be well organized and have strong analytical skills to resolve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out structural design and engineering calculations for concrete, steel, and other structural systems through all stages, from concept and detailed design to authority approvals and tender/construction documentation.
• Coordinate structural design works closely with architectural, MEP, and other project teams to ensure proper integration and resolution of design interfaces.
• Prepare, organize, and coordinate structural drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and other technical documentation in line with project requirements.
• Provide technical input and guidance to the design team and modellers in the preparation of structural designs, drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Review and check structural design calculations, drawings, and technical documents to ensure technical accuracy, coordination, and compliance with project and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities to resolve structural design issues and support required approvals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor or preferably Post Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ Years of relevant experience in the delivery of complex high-profile projects within an international design consultancy.
• 5+ years of relevant consultancy experience in the UAE.
• Sharjah Municipality Unlimited license holder.
• High level of competency in ETABS, SAFE, Prokon, Revit, AutoCad.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and building component assemblies.
• Sound knowledge of building codes, standards, and other technical references.
