Senior Structural Design Engineer

About the Role

We are a leading engineering consultancy firm based in Nasr City, seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in structural design, with a strong emphasis on international design standards and complex structural systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Structural Design & Analysis: Perform comprehensive structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, and multi-story structures in compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant international codes.
• Structural Systems Execution: Design and optimize various structural systems, specializing in Hollow Block / Ribbed Slab systems (Hordy), Flat Slabs, and post-tensioned systems.
• Calculation Sheets & Reports: Prepare clear, comprehensive structural calculation packages and technical reports for local and international authority approvals.
• Drawing Review & Coordination: Oversee the preparation of detailed structural drawings, rebar detailing, and shop drawings. Ensure seamless coordination with architectural, MEP, and BIM teams to eliminate clashes.
• Quality Assurance: Review structural models, drawings, and calculations to ensure accuracy, constructability, and strict adherence to project specifications and code requirements.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of proven post-graduation experience in structural design within an engineering consultancy environment.
• Code Expertise: In-depth knowledge and applied experience with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), ACI, and Egyptian Code of Practice (ECP).
• System Expertise: Proven track record in designing Hordy (Ribbed Slab) systems and complex concrete structures.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in structural engineering software including:
• ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and STAAD Pro.
• AutoCAD and Revit Structure (BIM workflow experience is a strong plus).
• Skills: Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and sound project management capabilities.
