China State Construction Middle East (CSECE ME) is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Technical Team in a newly awarded Large Scale project in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide structural engineering design and technical support to project teams throughout all phases of construction.
- Conduct regular project site visits to identify technical challenges and audit compliance with company engineering procedures and technical standards.
- Review structural design calculations and engineering submissions prepared by subcontractors and specialist designers (e.g., structural steel, post-tensioning, deep foundations, temporary works) and provide technical comments and approvals.
- Develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions for structural and construction-related issues encountered during project execution.
- Perform structural analysis, design, and verification of contractor temporary works, including equipment foundations, equipment supports, formwork, falsework, back-propping, shoring, lifting arrangements, and other temporary structures.
- Review construction methodologies and method statements from a structural adequacy and construction safety perspective.
- Support investigations and technical assessments of structural incidents, non-conformances, and site-related engineering issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify and develop value engineering initiatives and design optimization proposals to improve constructability, safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, project teams, and specialist subcontractors to resolve structural engineering issues and obtain necessary technical approvals.
- Ensure all structural designs and engineering solutions comply with project specifications, applicable international codes, and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structure
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in High Rise Tower Projects
