Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in Muscat. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and hands-on experience in network operations, ensuring the stability and integrity of our network infrastructure. This role is critical in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues to maintain optimal performance and availability.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and availability using various tools and technologies.
- Respond to network incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, escalating to senior engineers when necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on network equipment.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incidents in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network solutions and improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for network operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of network monitoring and reporting tools.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong knowledge of Network Operations Center (NOC) processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
- Experience with network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with firewall and security technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in a NOC or network support role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
