We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to serve as a technical authority for enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, automation, security, and modern data environments.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of IT infrastructure and systems engineering experience, including 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and DevOps. This role requires strong expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, Linux/Windows administration, virtualization, databases, Kubernetes, security, and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and manage enterprise environments across Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Perform advanced Linux administration, kernel tuning, Bash/Python scripting, and security hardening using SELinux/AppArmor.
- Manage and troubleshoot VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
- Design and implement Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure networking, SDN, Hub-and-Spoke architecture, Entra ID, and cloud governance.
- Develop and standardize Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure Bicep.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Automate system administration and configuration management using PowerShell and Ansible.
- Manage and optimize MS SQL, Kafka, and MongoDB platforms, including high availability, replication, sharding, and disaster recovery.
- Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, including autoscaling and service reliability.
- Implement security controls aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST standards.
- Manage vulnerability assessment and remediation using Qualys or Tenable.
- Oversee enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas.
- Maintain technical architecture documentation, SOPs, configuration standards, and infrastructure diagrams.
- Follow ITIL v4 practices for incident, problem, change, and asset management.
- Lead infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and technical initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex infrastructure and architectural challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of IT infrastructure and systems engineering experience.
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and DevOps.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Strong experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Extensive knowledge of Azure networking, Entra ID, governance, and cloud architecture.
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Azure Bicep.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with MS SQL, Kafka, and MongoDB.
- Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, vulnerability management, patching, and security hardening.
- Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
