Job description:
JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a skilled Microsoft System Engineer to join our team and play a key role in maintaining, optimizing, and delivering our IT infrastructure and cloud services. The ideal candidate responds swiftly to critical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity while delivering high-quality IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and system integrations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond swiftly to critical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Deliver IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and system integrations on time with high quality.
- Perform daily operational tasks related to Microsoft products, virtualization, security, and database management.
- Lead coverage in Windows Servers, SQL, Security Gateways, and service projects.
- Provide mentorship to mid-level engineers to strengthen team sustainability.
- Handle escalated customer incidents requiring advanced troubleshooting.
- Additional tasks: perform any other tasks assigned by the manager, as needed.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD), including ADFS, AADConnect, GPOs, and LDAP integrations.
- Deploy, migrate, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server, including high availability (DAG) configurations, CU upgrades, mailbox management, mail signature setups, and troubleshooting Outlook profiles (POP & Exchange).
- Implement and administer Microsoft Office 365 / Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and related collaboration solutions.
- Manage and optimize Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and implementing new services and functionalities.
- Administer and optimize Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
- Manage Security Mail Gateways and Certificate Authority (CA) servers, ensuring proper monitoring, incident response, and PKI management.
- Administer, migrate, and tune Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Write, understand, and execute PowerShell scripts for Exchange and other system automation tasks.
- Support multiple operating systems and ensure compatibility for application installations.
- Lead operational and technical projects while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft systems engineering. Experience with Hyper-V and Office 365 / Microsoft 365 administration is a plus.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATES (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- MCSE: Core Infrastructure
- MCSE: Microsoft Messaging
