Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, and virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft server administration, VMware solutions, patch management, and hybrid cloud environments while ensuring high system availability, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory (AD), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SCCM, and IIS.
- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere, vCenter, and VMware Aria environments.
- Plan, deploy, and manage operating system, application, and security patching activities to ensure systems remain up to date and compliant with security standards.
- Apply and monitor patches and updates using tools such as WSUS, SCCM, and Ivanti, ensuring minimal service disruption.
- Perform vulnerability remediation by identifying, assessing, and resolving security vulnerabilities through timely patching and system updates.
- Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) in hybrid environments.
- Lead troubleshooting activities for complex infrastructure and system issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Respond to support tickets and meet defined SLAs for response and resolution times.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure improvements and best practices.
- Maintain system documentation and provide technical guidance when required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a Senior System Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, SCCM, IIS, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and VMware Aria.
- Proven experience in patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security updates using tools such as WSUS, SCCM, and Ivanti.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles, infrastructure hardening, and industry best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience diagnosing and resolving issues within VMware vSphere environments.
- Excellent communication skills with fluent English (spoken and written).
