About the Role
This key position involves leading the evaluation, creation, enhancement, and upkeep of connectivity-focused applications, guaranteeing harmony with the organization's overarching vision while streamlining expenses and elevating partner satisfaction. You'll manage the complete application lifecycle within an Agile setup, emphasizing middleware tech on OpenShift, and enforce rigorous security and adherence protocols (such as ISO 27001). The role calls for a fusion of coding expertise, critical thinking, and teamwork to produce outcomes that reduce inefficiencies, amplify output, and advance the organization's enduring priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Shareholder & Financial:
- Thoroughly evaluate potential modifications to software and programs to confirm alignment with the organization's extended-term objectives and endorsed approaches.
- Create, execute, record, and build applications in line with allocated budgets and schedules.
- Establish performance metrics and optimal methods for connectivity system evaluation.
- Foster awareness of expenses, streamline operations, and boost output to cut expenditures, prevent inefficiencies, and maximize value for the financial institution.
- Operate strictly within the authority granted to the position holder.
Customer (Internal & External):
- Coordinate with relevant business areas regarding their data needs and provide ongoing support to fulfill operational demands.
- Support clients with any inquiries about the institution's offerings and pursue resolutions for their needs.
- Execute tasks consistent with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) involving internal teams/divisions to shorten processing durations.
- Cultivate and sustain robust, productive connections with associated teams/divisions to support the organization's aims.
- Deliver prompt and precise information to internal/external auditors, regulatory bodies, financial oversight, and risk management as needed.
Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Build fresh applications based on end-user specifications and guidelines from assigned system evaluators.
- Address defects and issues through targeted adjustments, followed by revalidation to verify intended outcomes.
- Execute test simulations and assessments of software and programs to confirm accurate data generation and proper directive execution.
- Assemble and record program details, execute follow-up updates, and add explanatory notes in the code for team comprehension.
- Undertake modifications, fixes, or enhancements to current programs to boost performance or accommodate evolving needs.
- Compose, examine, scrutinize, and revise code, leveraging process flow visuals and schematics, while drawing on insights into computing functions, domain expertise, and logical structures.
- Draft or collaborate on user guides and documentation to assist final users.
- Examine responses from networks, user devices, core processing units, and auxiliary hardware to program directives.
- Develop comprehensive process flow visuals and schematics outlining inputs, outputs, and operational logic, then translate them into coded command sequences in suitable programming dialects.
- Handle evaluation and coding duties to oversee and regulate the deployment of system software.
- Advise and support system operators or evaluators in pinpointing and fixing issues during program execution.
- Adhere to all established guidelines and protocols outlined by the organization's leadership.
- Employ object-oriented coding paradigms, alongside client-server build methodologies and web/multimedia integrations.
- Follow the established protocols for safeguarding data center information security, and actively contribute to attaining, overseeing, and upholding ISO 27001 compliance.
Learning & Knowledge:
- Grasp end-user needs thoroughly as outlined by operational evaluators.
- Demonstrate expertise in system architecture and data catalog principles to construct effective, thorough applications.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- Minimum of 8 years within the financial sector, concentrating on middleware or connectivity application creation or oversight.
- Familiarity with Java, J2EE, messaging systems, data buffering, and interfaces, especially leveraging IBM connectivity tools on the OpenShift environment and IBM access control systems.
- Understanding of key build techniques and utilities for producing independent, recyclable, and verifiable elements and units aligned with microservices architecture guidelines.
- Capability to assess and refine the structure of current systems to comply with contemporary technological benchmarks.
- Proficiency in architecting protected, expansible, comprehensive software frameworks for intricate deployments.
- Completion of training and credentials in system technologies, coding, and financial application software.
- Targeted training in information technology security frameworks for online and electronic access points.
Required Special Skills:
