JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Talent Management Specialist uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Talent Management discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Talent Management discipline. The Senior Talent Management Specialist solves complex problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Talent Management Specialist impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Talent Management team and other related teams and ensures that they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Global People Services Management team and other stakeholders to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for employees
- Develop programs and curriculum for employee onboarding and on-the-job training
- Analyze the effectiveness of the training and develop appropriate modifications as needed
- Provide support and coaching for new employees to accelerate their onboarding
- Design, create, and refresh training documents
- Develop a process to monitor and ensure employees are performing their responsibilities according to the training
- Coordinate system testing for upgrades and enhancements to the system, such as organizing testing scripts, tracking methods, and testers
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education
- 5-7 years of HR and/or Talent Management experience required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Position requires working in a hands-on, project-driven environment
- Experience working with HR systems (Oracle is preferred but not required)
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills
- Background in client-focused operations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making
- Experience in the development and implementation of initiatives
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
- Able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment (adaptability and flexibility are essential skills)
