Senior Technical Engineer (QA/QC, supplier quality)

Our client is from Building Materials / Construction Products industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer to support and strengthen their operations team. They are located in the North- easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Technical & QC/QA functions, managing engineers and QA/QC personnel while establishing department standards, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical and product application support to customers, Sales and Business Development teams, including troubleshooting, product recommendations, technical documentation and training.
• Oversee QC/QA and product quality, ensuring inspection standards, quality processes, audits, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions are effectively implemented.
• Manage Engineering Change & Drawing Control, including SKU engineering history, drawing revisions, product specifications and assessing the impact of changes on quality, certification, inspection and customer requirements.
• Strengthen supplier quality and change control, conducting supplier audits and qualification, monitoring supplier compliance, and ensuring any changes to materials, processes, tooling or specifications are properly assessed and approved.
• Drive customer complaint resolution, product certification and internal risk control, leading technical investigations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing certification/testing requirements and improving workflows to prevent recurring issues.

Requirements

• Min Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering, QA/QC, supplier quality, manufacturing or technical support experience.
• Experience leading engineers, technical staff or QC/QA personnel is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, inspection methods, supplier quality control and engineering change control.
