Role Description

The Senior Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo,

Responsible for overseeing technical office activities related to aluminum fabrication and glazing projects. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and coordinating detailed shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements. The Senior Technical Office Engineer will develop and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs), support quantity surveying tasks, and coordinate with civil and electrical engineering teams to ensure integrated and constructible solutions. Daily responsibilities include liaising with project managers and site teams, addressing technical queries, participating in design reviews, and providing value engineering input to optimize materials and costs. The role also requires maintaining documentation, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and supporting timely project delivery through proactive technical support.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in preparing and reviewing Shop Drawings for aluminum and glazing works, with attention to detail and compliance with engineering and project standards.
• Candidates should possess skills in BOQ preparation and verification, including quantity take-off, cost estimation, and support for Quantity Surveying activities.
• Candidates should possess a solid background in Civil Engineering, with the ability to interpret structural drawings and coordinate aluminum and glazing systems with civil works.
• Candidates should possess an understanding of Electrical Engineering interfaces, including coordination of aluminum and glazing solutions with electrical layouts, openings, and building services.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related field, along with experience 5-7 years in aluminum fabrication, glazing, or façade engineering, are highly beneficial.
• Strong proficiency in CAD and relevant design software, effective communication and coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines are required.
