Position Overview:
EDECS is seeking a Senior Technical Office Engineer Architectural for leading and supervising the preparation, coordination, and submission of architectural shop drawings and related technical documentation in accordance with project specifications, design drawings, codes, and standards. Ensures high-quality, timely, and accurate delivery of all architectural shop drawings.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and supervise the development of architectural shop drawings based on IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and project requirements.
Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure integration of architectural details and resolution of conflicts.
Incorporate comments from consultants, engineers, and clients into revised drawings.
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Submit shop drawings for consultant/client approval and follow up on feedback.
Maintain logs for drawing submissions, revisions, and approvals.
Review architectural drawings for technical accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
Ensure adherence to BIM/CAD standards and quality control procedures.
Identify design discrepancies or conflicts and recommend solutions.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers/draftsmen.
Coordinate with site teams, procurement, and construction to ensure alignment between drawings and actual implementation.
Attend coordination meetings and technical discussions with consultants and subcontractors.
Support in the preparation of as-built drawings.
Evaluate design changes and their impact on time, cost, and quality.
