Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Sales / Specification Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth and providing advanced technical support to our clients. You will work collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and promote our product offerings within the market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the specified territory.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers, including architects, contractors, and engineers, regarding our construction products and solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value and application of our offerings.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential customers, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions.
  • Engage in specifications writing and ensure proper documentation of project requirements to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and market demands to effectively position our solutions.
  • Support the sales team in responding to tenders and requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior sales engineers on technical aspects and sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or specification engineering within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, systems, and building codes.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to address customer challenges effectively.
