Job Description
Job Summary
The Senior Technician Digital Delivery is responsible for producing, coordinating, and managing high-quality engineering drawings and digital models for infrastructure projects. The role focuses on supporting project delivery through efficient use of BIM and CAD platforms, with particular emphasis on compliance with Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver detailed engineering drawings and 3D models for highway and infrastructure projects.
- Utilize MicroStation , OpenRoads Designer , and Autodesk tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D .
- Ensure all deliverables comply with RTA CAD/BIM standards, naming conventions, and submission requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams (roads, utilities, drainage, structures) to integrate design information into models and drawings.
- Prepare and manage BIM models including alignment modeling, corridors, and cross-sections.
- Conduct quality checks (QA/QC) on drawings and models prior to submission.
- Support clash detection and model coordination processes.
- Assist in preparing design submissions, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Maintain project documentation and adhere to digital delivery workflows and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians/drafters.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 815 years of experience in infrastructure/highway projects.
- Proven experience working on RTA projects in Dubai .
- Strong proficiency in: MicroStation & OpenRoads Designer AutoCAD & Civil 3D
- Solid understanding of highway design drawings (plans, profiles, cross-sections, details).
- Familiarity with RTA standards, guidelines, and submission processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in BIM Level 2 workflows and model-based delivery.
- Knowledge of Navisworks or other coordination/clash detection tools.
- Experience with utilities coordination and multidisciplinary integration.
- Understanding of data management platforms (e.g., ProjectWise is a plus).
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
