Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Telecoms Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Execute work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards
  • Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Telecom Engineering and / or Design activities if necessary
  • Prepare telecom design instructions
  • Prepare and develop FAS and telecom system diagram
  • Prepare technical specifications for FAS, CCTV, PA, ACS, LAN and all other telecom equipment
  • Prepare material requisitions for FAS, CCTV, PA, ACS, LAN and all other telecom equipment
  • Issue material requisitions
  • Prepare and develop telecom equipment layout and cable tray outing
  • Prepare and develop MTO of telecom systems
  • Support permitting works
  • Review Vendors quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor
  • Hold co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as required
  • Review relevant contract design work
  • All policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Groups
  • Support the construction team and correspond to the site queries
  • Coordinating with the other discipline engineers for all the needs and technical aspect which can affect the design
  • Ensuring that all comments are consistent and are included in the drawings according to the applicable procedure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of experience mainly being on oil and gas projects
  • Experience in a PMC or client role is required
  • DWDM and DMR Radio experience is mandatory
