Senior UI/UX Designer (FinTech) – Fully Remote
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our product team and lead the design of intuitive, scalable, and user-centric financial products.
This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work while collaborating with a global team.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a strong portfolio of complex digital products and proven experience designing enterprise-grade FinTech solutions. You should be able to transform sophisticated financial workflows into intuitive, elegant, and highly usable user experiences.
FinTech experience is mandatory. Applicants without proven experience designing financial products will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process from discovery and research through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Design intuitive and visually engaging experiences for complex financial products, including trading, brokerage, banking, investment, and payment platforms.
- Conduct user research, competitive analysis, and usability testing to validate design decisions.
- Create user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into simple, user-friendly experiences.
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems, UI libraries, and reusable components.
- Ensure consistency across web and mobile applications while adhering to accessibility and usability standards.
- Present and defend design decisions using research, data, and best practices.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
- Continuously identify UX improvements and propose innovative solutions that enhance the overall user experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience.
- Mandatory experience designing FinTech products, such as brokerage platforms, trading systems, banking applications, payment solutions, investment platforms, wealth management systems, or cryptocurrency exchanges.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial workflows into intuitive user experiences.
- Strong experience designing enterprise-grade web applications and data-intensive dashboards.
- Expert proficiency in Figma.
- Strong understanding of UX research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and usability principles.
- Experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems.
- Strong knowledge of responsive and adaptive design.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while effectively collaborating with distributed teams.
Portfolio Requirements
Candidates must provide:
• An up-to-date portfolio showcasing relevant UI/UX work.
• At least 2–3 detailed case studies demonstrating:
- The business challenge.
- Research and discovery process.
- UX problems identified.
- Design thinking and decision-making process.
- Wireframes and prototypes.
- Final UI solution.
- Business or user impact.
• Examples of FinTech products they have designed.
• Figma, prototype, or interactive design links (where available).
Applications without a portfolio or relevant case studies will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing one or more of the following:
- Trading platforms and investment applications.
- Broker CRM or back-office systems.
- Financial dashboards and reporting tools.
- Market data visualization and charting.
- Portfolio management and wealth management platforms.
- Payment gateways or digital banking products.
- Accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive design.
- Motion design and micro-interactions.
- Design tokens and component-based design systems.
