We are seeking an experienced Senior Urban Design Manager to lead the visioning, concept development, and early-stage master planning of large-scale urban development projects. This is an opportunity for a creative and forward-thinking designer who can transform ideas into compelling urban visions and create innovative places that shape communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the visioning, pre-concept, and concept design stages of urban design and master planning projects.
- Develop innovative master plans, urban design strategies, and development concepts.
- Produce and review sketches, diagrams, 3D models, and visual presentations to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Conduct site analysis, benchmarking, and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate closely with architects, landscape architects, visualization specialists, and development teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Present design concepts and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the urban design team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 10-12+ years of experience in urban design and master planning, with a strong focus on concept design and visioning.
- Previous experience with leading international consultancy firms.
- Strong GCC experience, ideally within the UAE.
- Advanced proficiency in SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent hand-sketching, visualization, graphic presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of urban planning principles, site analysis, and master planning methodologies.
- Experience with GIS and data-driven design approaches is advantageous.
- Arabic language skills are a plus.
