Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Business Development Consultant to lead the growth initiatives for Family Offices client base and strengthen our market position across financial services, with a focus on the Greater China region. This role is critical in identifying new business opportunities, expanding our client base, and driving revenue through strategic partnerships and client engagement. The ideal candidate is a seasoned business development professional with deep experience in financial services, strong industry networks, and a proven track record of success within the Greater China markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute long-term business development strategies aligned with the company's goals, with a focus on expanding market presence in the Greater China region.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, client segments, and product offerings in Greater China and beyond.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis, with specific insights into the financial landscape and regulatory environment in Greater China, to inform growth strategy and positioning.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and originate new business opportunities across family office and/or high-net-worth client segments, particularly in the Greater China market.
- Build and manage senior-level relationships with clients, prospects, and strategic partners across the region.
- Ensure a client-centric approach, delivering customized solutions that align with client objectives and local preferences in Greater China.
3. Sales Execution & Pipeline Management
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, pitch preparation, proposal delivery, negotiation, and closing.
- Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities, including those in the Greater China region, and ensure accurate reporting on pipeline health, conversion metrics, and revenue targets.
- Meet and exceed business development KPIs and revenue goals with an emphasis on regional performance and growth.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Investments, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing) to develop and deliver compelling client solutions, tailored for Greater China-based clients when applicable.
- Work closely with the product team to provide region-specific client feedback and influence the product roadmap accordingly.
- Collaborate with marketing to create impactful business development materials and campaigns, incorporating insights from the Greater China market.
5. Brand Representation & Thought Leadership
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements across Greater China, to enhance visibility and credibility in the region.
- Develop and maintain a strong professional network within the financial services ecosystem.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and client needs.
- Proven track record in sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex deals.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented mindset.
