Location: Dubai, UAE
ABOUT THE ROLE
Within the Visual Merchandising & Design team and reporting directly to the Head of Visual Merchandising & Design, the Senior Visual Merchandising Manager leads the development of all permanent visual merchandising materials for the brand. He/she is responsible for the aesthetic, technical and operational consistency of the VM devices deployed across all markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop the full range of permanent visual merchandising materials, focused on POSM (point-of-sale materials), displays and signage, in line with the brand's identity — furniture development is not part of the scope.
- Manage the prototyping, sampling and costing of all permanent VM materials, from concept validation through to final production-ready specifications.
- Build and evolve the visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring they are clear, applicable and well understood by local teams and distribution partners.
- Oversee the roll-out and implementation of VM devices in the field, ensuring compliance with brand standards and execution quality.
- Work closely with all markets worldwide to assess their specific needs, understand local constraints and adapt applications accordingly.
- Manage projects end-to-end: from creative and technical concept through prototyping, costing, production and deployment, liaising with suppliers and vendors.
- Balance aesthetic ambition with technical feasibility, cost control and the logistical constraints of international retail.
- Contribute to defining the permanent VM strategy alongside the Head of Visual Merchandising & Design.
PROFILE & COMPETENCIES
- Degree in design, interior architecture or architecture, with a specialization in or strong affinity for retail design.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in visual merchandising or retail design, ideally gained both within large structured groups and niche houses.
- Proven experience in the niche perfumery sector, its culture, aesthetic codes and quality standards.
- Strong field experience: able to oversee implementations, liaise with local teams and vendors, and resolve execution issues.
- Hybrid profile, both creative and technical, able to move from design concept to a workable technical specification.
- French-speaking profile required, with a strong understanding of French culture and full comfort working within a French-speaking team; fluent French and professional English required.
- Versatility, autonomy and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage several markets and projects in parallel.
- Availability for regular international travel.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficiency in design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of POSM materials, manufacturing processes and production constraints.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, sampling and costing processes for retail materials.
- Understanding of the logistical and budgetary challenges of deploying VM materials internationally.
