Senior Windows Image Creation Engineer – L2

DXC Technology | United Arab Emirates | On-site – Senior Analyst I

Function: Modern Workplace – Modern Device Management

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Windows Image Creation Engineer – L2 to support the engineering, creation, maintenance, testing, and deployment of standardized Windows endpoint images within a large-scale Modern Workplace environment in the UAE.

The role will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, reliable, and standardized Windows configurations across enterprise endpoints while supporting modern and traditional device provisioning technologies.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with Windows image engineering, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, task sequences, drivers, deployment automation, and endpoint troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Image Engineering

  • Build, configure, maintain, and update standardized Windows 11 enterprise images and endpoint configurations.
  • Create and maintain operating system deployment standards, build processes, configuration baselines, and reference configurations.
  • Integrate required drivers, security configurations, applications, updates, language packs, and enterprise settings.
  • Maintain image versions and ensure builds remain aligned with approved enterprise standards.
  • Support image refresh, OS upgrades, hardware refresh programs, and endpoint modernization activities.

Device Provisioning & Deployment

  • Configure and support device provisioning using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, and Operating System Deployment (OSD) technologies.
  • Build and maintain task sequences, deployment profiles, configuration policies, scripts, and automated provisioning workflows.
  • Support both traditional imaging and modern cloud-based/provisioning approaches.
  • Manage device-specific driver packages, firmware requirements, and hardware compatibility.
  • Support deployment across different endpoint models and enterprise user profiles.

Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Perform build validation, compatibility testing, pilot deployment, and production readiness checks.
  • Troubleshoot complex OS deployment, Autopilot, task sequence, driver, enrollment, configuration, and provisioning issues.
  • Analyze deployment logs and identify root causes of failed builds or endpoint provisioning.
  • Coordinate remediation with endpoint, application packaging, network, identity, security, and infrastructure teams.
  • Support L2 escalations and major endpoint deployment issues.

Security & Endpoint Standards

  • Ensure endpoint builds comply with approved cybersecurity, hardening, configuration, and compliance requirements.
  • Support implementation of security baselines, encryption, endpoint protection, patching, and configuration policies.
  • Work with cybersecurity teams to remediate endpoint vulnerabilities and configuration gaps.
  • Maintain standardized endpoint configurations across the managed device estate.

Automation & Operational Support

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate imaging, provisioning, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, build guides, deployment procedures, configuration records, and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Support change, release, and deployment management processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve provisioning speed, reliability, automation, and user experience.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of Windows endpoint engineering, desktop engineering, or device management experience, including hands-on OS deployment/imaging.
  • Strong experience with Windows 10/11 deployment, image creation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and/or SCCM/MECM.
  • Strong experience with OSD, task sequences, driver management, deployment profiles, and endpoint configuration.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows deployment, enrollment, driver, and provisioning issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and endpoint automation.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, endpoint security, and device compliance.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting capabilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting large-scale Modern Workplace, endpoint transformation, Windows 11 migration, or device refresh programs.
  • Experience with co-management and migration from SCCM/MECM to Intune and Autopilot.
  • Knowledge of Windows security baselines, BitLocker, Defender, Conditional Access, and endpoint compliance.
  • Experience with enterprise hardware from multiple OEMs and driver/firmware lifecycle management.
  • UAE/GCC enterprise technology experience is advantageous.
  • Relevant Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, Intune, Windows, or Modern Workplace certifications are preferred.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a hands-on Windows endpoint engineer with strong knowledge of both traditional OS deployment and modern cloud-based device provisioning.

The successful candidate should be comfortable building Windows configurations, managing Autopilot/Intune and SCCM deployments, troubleshooting failed builds, managing drivers, and developing PowerShell automation.

The ideal candidate will combine Windows engineering expertise, modern device-management knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, automation capability, and attention to endpoint security and standardization.
