- Website Development:
- Develop and maintain WordPress-based websites, themes, and plugins
- Customize and implement WordPress themes to match the design requirements of various projects
- Ensure websites are responsive and optimized for performance across different devices and browsers
- Front-End Development:
- Create visually appealing and user-friendly web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Integrate design elements, such as graphics, animations, and multimedia content
- Ensure a consistent and attractive user interface
- Back-End Development:
- Set up and configure WordPress installations, databases, and server environments
- Implement and customize functionality through PHP coding
- Debug and resolve any technical issues related to WordPress or server configurations
- Content Management:
- Manage and organize content, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia elements
- Ensure content is presented in an engaging and accessible manner
- Security and Performance Optimization:
- Implement security best practices to protect websites from potential threats
- Optimize website performance, including page load times and overall speed
- SEO and Analytics:
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website search engine rankings
- Set up and configure analytics tools to track website performance and user behavior
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other team members to meet project goals
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide regular project updates
- Documentation:
- Maintain documentation for WordPress configurations, custom code, and any specific project details
- Stay Updated:
- Stay current with industry trends, WordPress updates, and new technologies to continually improve your skills
- Plugin Development and Integration:
- Develop custom WordPress plugins or customize existing ones to extend website functionality
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into websites as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
- Familiarity with web design principles and UI/UX best practices
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design
- Knowledge of security best practices and website performance optimization
- Familiarity with SEO principles and analytics tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A portfolio showcasing previous WordPress projects is a plus
