Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Electrical - Metro to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical engineering projects related to metro systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and innovation in our transportation infrastructure.
- Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Approves and signs off on work.
- Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
- Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Participates in development of technical proposals.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
- Supporting the senior management team in the progressive evolution of AECOM's design philosophy, research activities and technical development.
- Lead the engineering design, manage BIM model and drawing production (design brief compliance, completeness & accuracy),
- Capable of writing design basis of design reports, specification, and technical reports.
- In depth knowledge of Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revizto, Navisworks and fare knowledge of Revit/ACC software.
- Local Authority Engineer registration preferred.
- Conversant with the Middle East codes and standards
- Have design and delivery experience of rail, metro/airports projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on metro or railway projects
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and engineering principles, particularly in transportation infrastructure
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems and their application in metro environments
- Demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in complex technical situations
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in transportation infrastructure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
