Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an attentive and personable Server to deliver professional food and beverage service within the Clubhouse Restaurant.

The ideal candidate will be confident managing an assigned section, taking accurate orders, recommending menu items and ensuring guests receive timely and thoughtful service throughout their dining experience.

This role requires someone who is observant, organised and comfortable engaging with a diverse range of guests, including golfers, members, residents and event visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide attentive, professional and personalised service throughout their dining experience.
  • Manage an assigned station or section during service.
  • Present menus and explain food, beverage, promotional and daily special offerings.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them promptly into the point-of-sale system.
  • Provide informed recommendations based on guest preferences, dietary requirements and menu availability.
  • Promote suitable food and beverage selections to enhance the guest experience.
  • Communicate allergies, dietary requirements and special requests accurately to the Culinary team.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen, bar and service team to ensure orders are prepared and delivered correctly and on time.
  • Serve food and beverages in accordance with established service procedures.
  • Monitor tables throughout the meal and respond promptly to guest requests.
  • Check guest satisfaction and address service concerns professionally.
  • Escalate complaints or service recovery matters to the F&B Supervisor or Outlet Manager where required.
  • Prepare and present guest bills accurately and process payments in accordance with cashiering procedures.
  • Maintain responsibility for assigned checks, payment transactions and closing procedures.
  • Ensure tables, service stations and surrounding areas remain clean, organised and properly stocked.
  • Complete opening, closing and shift handover responsibilities.
  • Prepare the outlet for service, including table settings, menus, condiments and operating supplies.
  • Guide and coordinate with Assistant Servers supporting the assigned section.
  • Monitor stock levels within the service area and request replenishment when required.
  • Handle operating equipment carefully and report breakages, defects or shortages.
  • Support private events, group bookings and Clubhouse activities when required.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Clubhouse Restaurant, operating hours, promotions and relevant Club facilities.
  • Follow food hygiene, HACCP, fire, health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and high standard of personal grooming.
  • Attend departmental briefings, meetings and training sessions.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the F&B Supervisor, Outlet Manager or F&B Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Server, Waiter or Waitress within a restaurant, clubhouse, hotel or similar hospitality environment.
  • Good knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
  • Ability to manage an assigned section independently during service.
  • Strong menu knowledge with the confidence to provide recommendations.
  • Experience using point-of-sale and cashiering systems.
  • Basic knowledge of food allergies, dietary requirements and food hygiene practices.
  • Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
  • Clear verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
  • Ability to remain composed and attentive during busy service periods.
  • Professional appearance and confident demeanour.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural team.
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
