Job Description

Position Summary

The Service Advisor acts as the key liaison between customers and the workshop team, ensuring seamless service delivery from vehicle intake to handover. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge of automotive products and services, strong understanding of pricing structures, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. The Service Advisor will maximize customer trust, optimize service revenue, and ensure vehicles are serviced in line with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers, listen to their service/repair needs, and accurately document vehicle issues.
  • Provide expert advice on recommended maintenance, repairs, and value-added services.
  • Prepare clear and transparent estimates, explaining pricing structures, labor rates, and parts costs.
  • Coordinate with workshop technicians to ensure accurate job execution and timely delivery.
  • Maintain continuous communication with customers regarding job status, delays, and approvals.
  • Review completed work, ensure quality standards are met, and manage the customer handover process.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly, ensuring issues are resolved to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Promote service packages, warranties, and additional offerings to enhance revenue.
  • Maintain accurate records in the service management system (job cards, invoices, feedback logs).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, company, and industry regulations at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma/Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing technical role within the automotive industry.
  • Deep technical knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance schedules, and repair services.
  • Strong understanding of service pricing, cost estimation, and invoicing processes.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in service management software and MS Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and resolve conflicts effectively.
