Job Purpose:
- Serve and clear food and beverage items in a professional and unobtrusive manner.
- Prepare and maintain tables, trays, and service trolleys according to hotel standards.
- Ensure effective coordination between the kitchen and service areas.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Respond to guest requests and handle complaints professionally and according to hotel standards.
- Support opening and closing procedures and ensure the outlet is ready for service.
- Monitor food, beverage, and service equipment usage and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain inventories and par stocks to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Work closely with the Chefs and wider Food & Beverage team to ensure efficient service.
- Promote a positive guest experience and identify opportunities for upselling.
- Provide support across other hotel outlets and departments when required.
- Ensure all closing duties are completed according to the standard checklist.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage experience in a 5-star international hotel environment.
- Strong guest service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Hotel School degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Upselling, HACCP, and/or WSET Level 1 training is an advantage.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of MICROS or similar POS systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
