Job title: Service Engineer - FAS Programming

Job Summary
The Service Engineer is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance activities for Life Safety, Security, Building Management Systems (BMS), Audio Visual (AV), Extra Low Voltage (ELV), and HVAC systems. The role ensures reliable system performance, timely resolution of service requests, compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), and high customer satisfaction through effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance on Life Safety, Security, BMS, AV, ELV, and HVAC systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Monitor system performance and identify recurring issues, escalating them to the Team Lead when required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and project documentation.
- Monitor graphic workstations for alarms, alerts, and system errors, ensuring uninterrupted system availability.
- Respond promptly to customer service requests and complete assigned tasks within agreed SLAs.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues with minimal downtime.
- Install, configure, repair, and update system hardware and software as required.
- Perform regular system inspections, housekeeping activities, and preventive maintenance schedules (PPMs).
- Record system issues, corrective actions, and resolutions to minimize recurring faults.
- Coordinate materials and spare parts required for maintenance activities.
- Monitor existing systems and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring technical issues and coordinate timely resolutions.
- Escalate critical incidents when necessary to ensure timely resource allocation and issue resolution.
- Manage service requests from initiation through completion, including documentation and status updates.
- Collaborate with internal teams and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely communication and service updates.
- Ensure compliance with information security policies and organizational procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and servicing of Life Safety, Security, BMS, AV, ELV, HVAC, or related building systems.
Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of Life Safety, Security, BMS, AV, ICT, Fire Fighting (FF), and ELV systems.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Knowledge of service management processes and SLA compliance.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond proactively to technical issues.
