  • Vanderlande is responsible for the Service & Maintenance of the Baggage Handling System at King Fahad International Airport. We are seeking full time Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technicians are the main responders to emergency situations. They carry out preventive and corrective maintenance at the mechanical and electrical level of the material handling system. This will be done during the dwell periods in between the flights and in the other non-operational hours.
  • Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities) Inspect diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems React to messages from the Control Room or manager Preventive Maintenance – Inspection, adjustment, cleaning, replacement Attending to stoppages and bag jams
  • Analyze system performance
  • Occasionally monitors system from the Control Room
  • Develop service supporting tools and means
  • Complete CMMS Service reports, parts usage and warranty records
  • Research and request spare parts as required and also keeps track of inventory
  • Works independently on preventive maintenance
  • Identifies problems in planning and tooling etc. Provides input for improvements.
  • Independently corrects the standard faults
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance & follow-up on Corrective Maintenance work orders
  • Always exercise safe working practice, complying with Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Must demonstrate continued education through certifications in electrical and/or mechanical systems from accredited colleges, vocational schools, or OEMs, appropriate to the job level.
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Versed in operations and maintenance.
  • Flexibility with time, able to shift priorities quickly based on staff and system needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive with a strong work ethic and initiative; someone who would like to grow and develop within the organization.
  • Ability to work independently.
