Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Migration Engineer to support a short-term on-site

engagement in Dubai. The selected candidate will be responsible for configuring a SharePoint

Online environment and executing the migration of approximately 60,000 files (around 200 GB)

from a client network drive to SharePoint Online using PnP PowerShell. The role requires strong

hands-on expertise in SharePoint administration, migration execution, metadata configuration,

and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, navigation, metadata columns,

and content types.

• Create and manage SharePoint users, groups, and role-based permissions (Owner,

Member, Visitor).

• Execute source file deduplication and generate duplicate file reports for client review.

• Perform bulk file migration using PnP PowerShell scripts.

• Validate migrated data including file counts, folder hierarchy, metadata mapping, and

permissions.

• Troubleshoot migration failures, resolve errors, and reprocess failed files.

• Perform post-migration validation and client handover.

• Coordinate with Trasol technical leads throughout the migration engagement.

• Maintain migration logs and documentation.

Experience & Education

• 3–5 years of experience in SharePoint Online Administration and Migration projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a

related discipline.

• Experience working on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint implementation or migration

projects.

• Prior client-facing implementation experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online Administration.

• Expertise in PnP PowerShell including Connect-PnPOnline, Add-PnPFile, and batch

operations.

• Good understanding of SharePoint content types, metadata, managed metadata, choice

columns, and internal field names.

• Experience with CSV-based metadata mapping during migrations.

• Strong PowerShell scripting skills including loops, logging, and error handling.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID app registrations and permissions.

• Experience with SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT) or similar migration solutions.

• Knowledge of deduplication techniques for large file repositories.

• Good communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.

Engagement Details

• On-site engagement at the client location in Dubai for 4 working days.

• Day 1: SharePoint Online configuration.

• Day 2: Source data cleanup and deduplication.

• Day 3: Test migration and full migration execution.

• Day 4: Validation, issue resolution, permissions verification, and project handover.

• Remote technical guidance will be provided by Trasol Technologies throughout the

engagement.

• Candidate must currently reside in the UAE with a valid visa.
