Job Description

Job Summary

The SHES Technical Assistant supports the implementation and monitoring of Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) systems across project sites. The role involves assisting in compliance with HSE policies, conducting site inspections, maintaining documentation, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and project standards in construction and oil & gas environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementation of SHES policies, procedures, and safety management systems at site.
  • Support daily HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure safe work practices.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and security standards across project activities.
  • Maintain HSE documentation including reports, checklists, incident records, and permits.
  • Assist in conducting toolbox talks, safety trainings, and awareness sessions for site personnel.
  • Identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions and support corrective action closure.
  • Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and HSE officers to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure proper usage of PPE and adherence to safety protocols at site.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness drills and environmental monitoring activities.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Science (Safety / Environmental / Technical discipline preferred).
  • 36 years of relevant experience in SHES/HSE roles in construction, EPC, or oil & gas projects.
  • Knowledge of HSE standards, risk assessment, and safety compliance procedures.
  • Familiarity with safety documentation, permits, and incident reporting systems.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or international safety standards preferred.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
