Job Summary
The SHES Technical Coordinator will support the SHES Department in implementing and maintaining Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) systems in line with project standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations. The role focuses on technical coordination, documentation control, compliance monitoring, and supporting risk management and audit activities while acting as a key interface between client, contractors, and project teams.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation of SHES processes, procedures, and systems as per project standards and contractual requirements.
- Act as a technical liaison between the client and contractors to address SHES-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Support contractor SHES teams in aligning their safety plans, procedures, and activities with project SHES standards.
- Review and maintain SHES technical documentation including procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and compliance records.
- Prepare and submit SHES reports, presentations, statistics, and performance metrics related to audits and inspections.
- Manage and update SHES registers such as Incident Reports, Corrective Actions, Training Records, and Equipment Inspection logs.
- Conduct SHES audits, inspections, and evaluations to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support identification, assessment, and mitigation of SHES risks associated with project activities.
- Review technical risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, JSA, etc.) and ensure implementation of recommended control measures.
- Provide technical support during incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action tracking.
- Coordinate site training programs, documentation control, and compliance records.
- Ensure proper communication of SHES technical requirements to all stakeholders.
Mandatory Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 in SHES / Safety OR Post Graduate Diploma / Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in SHES coordination, technical safety, or compliance roles in construction, EPC, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of SHES documentation systems, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in risk assessment methodologies (HAZID, HAZOP, JSA).
- Reporting to: SHES Manager.
